Original commemorative cross for members of the Schleswig-Holstein army, 1848/1849, with ribbon overlay. A very rare original commemorative cross with ribbon overlay and two additional ribbon sections! The cross and ribbon ring show signs of rust; the ribbon is not an original award ribbon and is newer than the cross. The ribbon overlay is from the Schleswig-Holstein Veterans' Association (Veterans' Associations), a club/association pin. A long, narrow ribbon (77 cm long, 1.5 cm wide) is included, slightly frayed and showing signs of age, in the Schleswig-Holstein state colors. The other ribbon (13 cm long, 3.5 cm wide) belongs to one of the many commemorative medals from the period up to 1900. Further pictures available upon request. Asking price plus shipping. No PayPal.
